The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 8,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

Tim Murphy plus Declan Murphy and Molly Murphy's Story

As you all know, Declan and Molly Murphy are both rescue dogs from the greater Yakima area.

They've certainly enjoyed being adopted into a nice home where they can basically have the run
of the place and push their owners around and have a great extended family that they are
SUPER EXCITED to see whenever they come.

Stephanie is out of town for this year's Furry 5K so Tim will be doing the run (jog? trot?) with BOTH
furry pets. Molly has a surprising endurance level. Declan, however, usually fairly well quits about
3 and a half K in. He finishes, though, mostly because he's just too darned big for anyone to carry.

In any case, we'd all appreciate any token of support for the effort, for other friendly animals like your
pals Declan and Molly.
