The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

Thanks so much for joining our fundraising team for the Furry 5K.

As you might know, SCNAVTA is the Student Chapter for the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America. Throughout the year, our student leadership chooses events to involve students of the Veterinary Assistant and Technician programs in helping organizations, either through fundraising or volunteering.

This year, participating in the Furry 5K was chosen as one of our fundraising efforts, and we'd love to see all of our students, friends, and family members join us!
