The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

Help me in fundraising for my team Team Taiwan.

We did not get our dog-ter, Penelope from the Animal Shelter (she is rescued from Taiwan) but we would like to support it!

I also have a wonderful dog, Lily, from Taiwan. My two cats, Willa and Teddy, are from local shelters. Several years ago, I cared for a feral cat and was able to capture her. I wanted the cat to continue to roam in the area, but not reproduce, so the shelter agreed to spay her and return her to me. Seattle Animal Shelter was there when I needed them and I appreciate the work they do for our furry friends in our community.
