The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

Kelsea & Truffles's Story
Join us in the fundraising effort for this organization!

Kelsea is a foster mom at the Seattle Animal Shelter. Truffles was her 3rd foster dog who was surrendered by his owners for they could not afford surgery to remove a string that ran through his digestive tract. After days of seizures and massive weight loss, the shelter was able to get him help. After his recovery was complete, Kelsea could not let him go and decided to adopt him. Now they live happily in Seattle enjoying the city life with frequent visits to Mudbay. Kelsea and Truffles continue to foster dogs and help them find their forever homes too. Thanks to SAS and public donations, more and more pets can receive medical attention and become adopted :)
