The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!



 
Team Ollie

Ollie is a rescue dog who was found with his litter of tiny puppies in the fires last year in Eastern Washington. His cat sibblings, Sox and Pixie were also found abandoned two months later and came to their foster family very sick, dirty, hungry, malnourished and with ringworm.

We are very fortunate to have so many caring people who volenteer their time to help these animals in need so that they can go on to lead happy, healthy lives with forever homes. 

The volenteers hearts are huge and so are the vet bills and costs it takes to make these animals whole again. That is why Team Ollie is participating in this year's Furry5K.
 
Every animal is innocent and needs to a chance to a bright future.
