The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

Your Pace or Mine?

Please join us in this fundraising effort to raise money for the Seattle Animal Shelter. A group of us TEAGUErs are going to walk with our furry friends to help other furry friends in need. Many of us have found our four-legged companions through animal shelters and rescue organizations, and we want to be sure that all animals in need of rescue have the best chance possible to find their forever homes.

It's an easy 5K at Seward Park, so it's just a little bit of time out of your day to stroll along Lake Washington with friends, coworkers, and a whole lot of canine cuteness.

If you can't join us, then please consider making a donation to the cause. You can donate right here online with just a few clicks.

Thank you!

Rescue organizations hold a dear place in my heart. My sweet boy Miles (may he rest in peace) was a rescue and my little crazy pup Ruby is a rescue as well. We need to be the voice for those who have none. Every little bit helps!

Thanks!

My dog, Polly (the second photo featured above), is a rescue from a puppy mill. She was tossed aside by the breeders after she had her litter of puppies and was found in terrible condition wandering a neighborhood in the dead heat of Houston. She was malnourished and heartworm positive, and in desperate need of attention. That was two years ago. Polly is now back at a healthy weight, completely heartworm free and living a happy live in her forever home I look at her every day and am thankful that we could rescue her to become the sweet and loving companion that she is today. Pets like Polly get second chances thanks to the amazing efforts of rescue agencies and shelters that depend on us a community to do the right thing.  Join us and walk, or support us with a donation and help support the services that help all animals get the second chances they deserve.
