The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

This year marks Margot's second Furry 5K, and she couldn't be more thrilled! This year, all three of we Zayas will get in on the running fun to support a cause we love.

The most beloved pets in our lives have been adopted from a shelter, and Margot is no exception. Ever since she gave us the "Hello, future family!!" eyes at 2.5 months old back in 2011, we have gotten more love than we could ever give back. So we hope instead to give the gift of fundraising for the wonderful organization that found and cared for her & does the same for thousands of other loving souls every year.
