The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

Sassy's Crew's Story

Please join me in raising money for shelter animals!

As you all know, Sassy was a very important furry person in my life. I never would have met her if it hadn't been for adoption days at Petsmart. The day I met her is a day I'll never forget.

Without the help of shelters like the Seattle Animal Shelter, people would never have a chance to meet their perfect pet companion. My sister's cat, Lenny, is another example. If the Seattle Humane Society hadn't had the funding to nurse him back to health, he wouldn't be the big-fat-black-cat we love today. I also adopted my little Zooey from SHS. When she was brought in she was being fed a poor diet and was ready to give birth, again. I'm so grateful she is now in my life as a healthy, spayed, indoor cat.

Be grateful for the pets in your life and please help those that are waiting for their forever homes.
