The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!



 
Kara Emma Gerhart's Story

 

I'm an animal girl; dogs, cats, goats, horses, birds, llamas, chickens, you get the idea.  I care about them all, want them all to have good lives and am proud to support organizations and causes that share that goal.

This will be my 3rd time running the Furry5K, I welcome you to sign up and join me at the starting line, and of course I'd love for you to support the cause, make a donation and cheer me on.  

It's a fun event, lots of friendly faces, some a bit more slobbery than others!
