WAMAL's Story
WAMAL was formed in 1998 by Cindy Neely to help with Malamute Rescue in the greater Northwest area to cover rescue needs outside of the scope of Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. Since that time we have rescued on average about 100 Malamutes a year and have
rescued many hundreds to date. While none of this would have originally happened without a small few, it's the numerous (but sometimes still too few) volunteers that make rescue happen. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and locations. WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY OR SHELTER LOCATION, just the email list where we coordinate the tremendous amount of volunteering it takes to make rescue possible. We run the rescue by opening our homes and hearts to the Malamutes in need. We are always looking for others who would like to help out, in whatever form or amount of time people can donate to help pitch in. The organization is only able to do what we do because of this generous and dedicated team of volunteers - they truly make it possible to save the lives of this gentle and loving working breed. If you would like to join us please print out and complete our
volunteer agreement found under the forms tab and mail it to the address on the form. The pride (and pain) of our lives... our beloved Mals! {grin}
