The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

 I believe in supporting our local humane societies to help animals in need. These shelters need help from animal lovers like us! Did you know that our Seattle Humane Society hosts free dog training classes to those who adopt dogs from their shelter? How awesome is that?!

Another great fact is that they charge a $10-70 adoption fee for animals that are free of fleas, current on vaccinations, neutered/spayed, and microchipped! That's an amazing value for your new best friend! The humane society in Seattle provides an AMAZING service to our community. Please help me give back to them!
