The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!



 
Animal shelters have a special place in my heart. A lot of people avoid getting sheltered pets because they think the animals are broken or damaged. But animals in a shelter are often there because families don't want them or can no longer afford to support them. These organizations do their best to give food, attention, and new homes to these animals, but can only continue to do so with external support.

 

The Seattle Animal Shelter has been able to help hundreds of pets over the years. Help us keep these animals fed, groomed, and healthy. Spending a few bucks on this cause is something to feel great about. As an added bonus, I'm giving away mini amigurumi to everyone who donates.
