Stephanie Hunter-Dines's Story
Almost 4 years ago Anthony and I made one of the best decisions of our lives by rescuing our dog Elliott. Without the help of a rescue organization selflessly fundraising and saving adoptable dogs from being euthanized, we would've never met such an important and loved member of our family. I am honored to run in support of the Help the Animals Fund here in Seattle saving more animals from harm, and finding them a loving family.
On a side note, this will be my first race since having a baby just a couple months ago on February 8th. Running has become a big part of my life and who I am. It keeps me healthy, competitive, and clear headed. I am so lucky to be at a place in my recovery where I can get back out there and run in this beautiful weather for such a great cause. On June 12th, I will run for all the sweet animals waiting to be rescued and adopted, my sweet dog Elliott, my beautiful new daughter Cecilia, and myself along with all other new mothers who are struggling to find a part of themselves within their new life as a parent.
Please join me in this fundraising effort to aid innocent, adorable animals who just want to love. Any amount is welcome, and if you can't donate please share.
Thank you so much for reading my story and your interest in this great cause!
