The Furry 5K raises money for the Help the Animals Fund (HTAF), which provides veterinary care and supplies for sick, injured or abused orphaned shelter animals.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in nearly 6,000 animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The HTAF is an integral part of saving lives – with annual veterinary expenses of approximately $100,000, every dollar raised counts!

We will be running/walking with our four legged friends to show support for the hard work the shelter does each year to take care of the furry friends without homes. Hello! I am the current head tech at Lien animal clinic, and I Love to run! Ok, anyone who spends a lot of time running knows it's more of a love/hate relationship. I ran my first 1/2 marathon last year and I'm hoping to do my first full marathon next year. I can't think of a better reason to run any distance than helping take a little bit of financial burden off the backs of the great people who work at the Seattle Animal Shelter. They work so hard with what they have, and I hope our team can raise enough to make a difference!
