The Furry 5k is something I always look forward to. It’s such a fun event and provides a majority of the financial support that the shelter relies on to operate for the rest of the year. Because the race will now be virtual, I wanted to try to help out a little more by fundraising. I’ve been a volunteer at the shelter (shout out to the Fido team) for the past 6+ years and it is such a wonderful organization filled with people who care so much for the animals. 


The Furry 5K raises money for the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the programs and initiatives of the Seattle Animal Shelter.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in thousands of animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation is dedicated to enriching and enhancing the lives of animals in the care of the Seattle Animal Shelter.
