Our critter companions should be for life but sometimes things happens that interfere. This summer, the Seattle Animal Shelter will be piloting a new program to offer additional support to help keep pets with their families.  

Join with me to help kick off this program and support my fundraising campaign.   

My goal reflects an upcoming "big 60" birthday and retiring after 30 years at the UW.   Please remember a donation in any amount is completely welcome AND appreciated.  



The Furry 5K raises money for the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the programs and initiatives of the Seattle Animal Shelter.

The Seattle Animal Shelter takes in thousands of animals annually. Of those, many receive the lifesaving care they need thanks to the generous donations of individuals and companies.

The Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation is dedicated to enriching and enhancing the lives of animals in the care of the Seattle Animal Shelter.
